     Howard H. Li is the founder and sole owner of Waitex International, Co., Ltd. / Prime Time International Inc. and Fortune USA Inc.

     Howard Li first came to the United States in 1976.  He recognized and found a market niche between the importers and manufacturers who needed efficient, inexpensive, and reliable warehousing, distribution and garment refurbishment services.  In 1981, he started his business, Waitex, in downtown Manhattan.  Howard Li has succeeded in creating an organization, where trust, respect, and commitment to the customer flow throughout the organization - from top to bottom. 

     Today, Waitex is one of the largest and most modern independent warehousing and distribution fulfillment centers in the U.S., strategically located on both East and West Coasts with 2.2 million square feet of warehousing space and 500 service specialists servicing over 300 companies.  Waitex fulfills all “back office” requirements by providing warehousing and distribution facilities, operational expertise, and advanced technology for the handling of fulfillment logistics and information processing. 

     Leveraging on the success and connections of Waitex, Howard Li was able to expand into two additional areas.  Prime Time International, Inc. and Fortune USA Inc./J.R. & Pepper.  Prime Time focuses on the design and manufacturing of Mens and Ladies apparel under Focus 2000 label and more than 10 other national brand name labels selling throughout the United States.  Fortune USA Inc./J.R. & Pepper is a dominant player in the off-price business, trading a variety of brand name merchandise on a worldwide basis.

     Howard Li is dedicated to the Asian American business community.  He is the director of the Asian American Business Development Center, a non-profit organization that assists Asian Americans in developing businesses.  He is also the chief advisor for the United Chinese Association of New York, a nonprofit umbrella organization of 98 associations that aid immigrant families and their children.  Furthermore, he is a general committee member of the Minority Business Round Table, supported by the U.S. Department of Commerce, which advises the State Department, Capital Hill, and the President regarding minority policies. 

     For the past years, Howard Li has received commendations from various governmental figures in recognition for his entrepreneurial success and dedication to the community.  Howard Li was chosen as an illustrious recipient of the Ellis Island Medal of Honor Award for 2001 and a finalist of the New York City’s Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Of The Year Award.  Howard Li has proven that hard work and ambition will get you anywhere.
